Marching Against Ideology in British Columbia Schools

The State has declared war on parents, and kids are caught in the crossfire.

Let’s back up a bit.

Over the past several years, parents in Canada have grown increasingly concerned over the quality of education in public school systems, especially as it pertains to ideological indoctrination.

For example, “SOGI 123” has quietly taken over the curriculum of all 60 public school districts in British Columbia. Swallowing the ideology of the “2SLGBTQ+” community is no longer optional.

SOGI, which stands for “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity,” teaches fictional concepts to young students, such as the validity of “identities like lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, Two Spirit, heterosexual, cisgender, and more.”

The materials within SOGI inform students that biological sex is “assigned at birth,” among other false statements. Within SOGI-ran classrooms, Pride and Trans flags have replaced Canadian flags, maps, and other informative posters.

Under SOGI 123 education, children as young as those in kindergarten learn “regressive sex stereotypes,” according to Amy Eileen Hamm, a BC resident who has written for Quillette and the New Westminster Times. Boys don’t wear dresses, one classroom project goes, so if you’re a boy and you wear a dress, you may be a girl!

Hamm argues that ideology indoctrination has supplanted critical thinking and education in Canada’s public schools, where students are now taught about pronoun usage and anal sex—even as politicians admit to a worrying “decline in reading, writing, and math skills” observed across the country.

This week, the “One Million March for Children” took place across Canada, with many thousands of Canadian parents filling the streets of major cities like Ottawa and Vancouver in a bid to slow down the State’s propaganda push on kids. The march also took place within Boundary Country in Grand Forks to the tune of local support. This support arose despite marchers being railed as “transphobic” by counter-protestors who sought to drown out the protests.

While Pride-promoters posit a culture of “inclusiveness,” the fact is that anyone opposing trans indoctrination in public schools today is considered “hateful.” One is now a bigot for believing in biology.

Dark things are happening in Canadian schools, protesters at the marches warned. We are being asked to question why number of students identifying under the Pride umbrella has more than tripled in a single generation. And we are encouraged to wonder how gender dysmorphia, a formerly exceptionally rare and undesired condition, has now taken on form as a popular social contagion.

Why might parents not want their son or daughter to be pressured into transgenderism in school? It is important to understand that the Pride community, despite its colourful flags and catchy slogans, is not always a “safe space” for kids to thrive in.

Compared to the general population, Canadian transgendered peoples are seven times more likely to abuse drugs, five times more likely to attempt suicide, and twice as likely to experience homelessness. Whether celebrated or vilified, the 2SLGBTQ+ community is sadly plagued with mental health issues relative to the general population. We should ask why that is, and what we can do about it.

Many claim discrimination and oppression toward members of Pride causes the community’s higher rates of substance abuse, mental illness, and poverty. This is a well-worn record now. Yet it is hard to imagine a society that tolerates sodomy and “gender fluidity” more than Canada does today. In recent decades and even mores in recent years, North America’s pendulum has swung wildly in support of gay and trans people, with a majority of politicians willing to cater to the community’s every pander.

In fact, to hear political leaders across the country this week speak against the innocuous protests, trans folk appear to be a protected class.

Ottawa mayor Mark Sutcliffe criticized the March for its “specific targeting of 2SLGBTQIA+ children for being who they are,” for example. But therein lies the divide, Mr. Mayor: Million of Canadians believe that the State is in fact the entity not allowing children to be who they are by forcing harmful ideology down their throats.

British Columbia’s human rights commissioner Kasari Govender called the marches “hate-fuelled,” despite a sore lack of evidence in support of her statement. Well, she has permission to do so until her face goes blue. Those marching for children know that their concern comes from a place of love. And if there is any animosity, it is toward the government, not the gays.

Even if “trans kids” did exist—they do not—placing them at the forefront of public school curriculum is simply not an appropriate or effective route to take.

In the future, I strongly believe that society will look back on this era agape with horror. In the name of “gender-affirming healthcare” we are butchering innocent children—mutilating their bodies, mutating their minds, and using them as pawns in a cruel experiment for political and ideological gain.

Transitioning is the new lobotomy, only far worse, because we know much more about science, medicine, and ethics today.

In conclusion: Until there are once again public schools in British Columbia that do not teach SOGI 123 propaganda, Canadians have every right to march for parental control of their kids. We want for our children a real and proper education, not a State-funded gender-lobotomy.
