Since the 1970s, Statistics Canada has regularly published population projections for the country.
At the turn of the century, Canada’s population was 31 million. StatsCan anticipated that, by 2026, our country’s population would be about 34 million. The most extreme forecast at the time predicted 39 million people in Canada in 2026.
Fast-forward to 2024, and the population of Canada has already exceeded 41 million.
And Canada isn’t growing because of Canadians. StatsCan admitted this year that 98% of the country’s recent population growth is from international migration.
For every Canadian born in 2024, 49 foreigners immigrated here. Local populations are not being supplemented—they are being replaced.
A Darkening Destiny
You might have heard the phrase “Demographics is Destiny” before. The slogan posits that the demographic makeup of a society determines its culture, cohesion, and ultimate fate.
History strongly indicates this theory to be true. Thus, if 98% of our population growth is causing demographic changes, then the trajectory of Canadian society is also rapidly shifting.
And so I will forward another phrase, this time my own: “Immigration without Integration is Invasion.” This slogan is based around the fact that warfare is not necessary to take over a country with open borders.
The concept is simple. If immigrants vastly outnumber locals, and also refuse to assimilate, what becomes of the original society? Like the Ship of Theseus, the Canada I was born and raised in is becoming, one demographic shift at a time, a new nation entirely.
Your Honour, I Object
Canadian politicians claim we need high immigration to prop up our economy and counterbalance low birth rates, but I present several objections.
First, nobody actually voted to have the highest per capita rate in the entire world. Is Canada not a democracy?
Recent polling shows that a majority of Canadians (including immigrants already here) oppose our record high levels. Thus, Canada’s population is growing less Canadian every day—against the will of its people. Sound like an invasion yet?
Second, there are numerous other ways to approach the societal problem of low fertility, and those solutions start with addressing fertility itself. Yet Canadian leaders have done nothing to tackle our lowering birth rates.
Worse, the opposite has occurred. Grappling with stagnant incomes, skyrocketing costs of living, and incessant fear-mongering over the weather, Canadians either can’t afford to bring children into the world or are irrationally terrified to do so. Even if population collapse is a valid concern, the primary focus should always be to prioritize sustainable national fertility rates before shipping in foreign labour.
We can look at our closest neighbour—the U.S.—and find a system that, while not perfect, enjoys a significantly stronger economy while allowing far less immigration per capita. Let us wake up, look in the mirror, and recognize our relative failure.
Preserving Canada Isn’t Racist
American gangster Alphonse Capone is credited with the famous line, “Do not mistake my kindness for weakness.” This is the final phrase we will remark on today.
Canadians have always stood to the Left of America, whether in the era of Scarface or Trump. We’ve long been broadly considered a little friendlier, more polite. At some point we even turned that reputation into a bit of smugness—those ignorant redneck Americans are just so uncouth compared to we civilized folk!—but the truth is much darker: our kindness IS weakness.
Canadians are gravely mistaking our weakness for politeness. We are allowing corrupt leaders to hollow out the foundational soul of Canada for a quick buck simply because too many of us are afraid of being called “racist.” We are tolerating a gradual invasion of our country.
If you love Canada, consider all of this before it is too late. Our nation as we once knew it is disappearing by the day, and when it is gone, it will be gone forever.
