Grand Forks to Celebrate National Range Day in Boundary Country

With well over two million firearms owners across Canada, communities throughout B.C. are preparing to celebrate National Range Day with family-friendly events between May 31 and June 14.

National Range Day takes place annually across Canada, typically on the first Saturday in June.

The B.C. Wildlife Federation is inviting the public to spend a day experiencing a sport that is open to people of all ages and abilities.

“Attending a Range Day event with your friends and neighbours is a great way to introduce them to sport shooting, archery, and hunting in a fun, safe environment,” stated BCWF Advocacy Coordinator Monte Clarke. “Sport shooting is truly an equal opportunity sport that is open to all.”

On National Range Day, qualified club members will be on hand to teach safe firearms handling skills, run sharpshooting competitions, and answer questions. This includes the Grand Forks Wildlife Association’s  range.

You can find a list of events across Canada on the National Range Day official site.
