This summer, a site adjacent to Fritz Road in Midway will be treated to lessen the impact of wildfires to the Village.
Treatments include thinning, spacing, and pruning trees, as well as the removal of needles and woody debris from the forest floor, with an intent to reduce fuel load in the forest and reduce the potential for wildfires.
With heavy machinery onsite and possible tree felling, the Village asks that residents and visitors pay attention to signs posted around the project area for safety guidance.
A map of the affected area can be found on the Village’s website.
