Mile Zero Motel Without a Restaurant as The Crossing Closes

Residents of Boundary Country were this summer pleased to learn that Greenwood icon Mama’s Grill would return to feed the area.

Now, however, a different restaurant is closing its doors.

The Crossing at Mile Zero Motel is shuttering at the end of August, according to business owner Lindsay.

The decision was made “after much deliberation and with a heavy heart,” according to the local restaurateur.

Following a “brief break,” the owner is hoping that The Crossing can reopen in “a smaller, more manageable space.”

“I am deeply grateful for the support and patronage from each customer over the past five years,” Lindsay wrote online. “My goal is to return to what I love—serving great food to this community—as soon as possible.”

The Mile Zero Motel on Palmerston Avenue in Midway is for sale with a price tag of $1.6 million.
