The City of Grand Forks is searching for a sixth municipal well to supply water to a growing population.
ISL Engineering has identified five candidate test sites, including the Airport property at the south end of Second Street and the the Disc Golf Course on 68th Avenue across from No Frills.
Sites were selected based on distance from the flood plain, separation from surface water, proximity to existing infrastructure, and access to city-owned land, according to a report from the Grand Forks Gazette earlier this month.
A drilling timeline has not been announced.
