Provincial campgrounds across Boundary Country are set to open through April and May. Here is the full schedule for the 2026 season.
The Kettle River Recreation Area near Rock Creek is first to open, on April 23, with full operations by May 6. Gladstone Provincial Park at Christina Lake follows on April 30, just ahead of the Victoria Day long weekend.
Boundary Creek opens May 7. Jewel Lake near Greenwood, Conkle Lake, and Johnstone Creek all open May 14.
Not all campgrounds operate the same way. Some are first-come, first-served. Check individual park pages at BCParks for reservation requirements, fees, and site details before heading out.
Campers should also note changes to BC Parks reservations this year.
