The Boundary Expo Recreation Centre is ready for the 2023/2024 winter season of hockey, public skating, and more.
“We are on schedule to open on Tuesday October 10,” the Village of Midway stated in their monthly newsletter.
A copy of the official schedule released is below, to be updated with Minor Hockey game slots.
The Village noted that on Friday, October 13th, public programs are cancelled to allow for a “BBQ & Family Free Skate,” slated to take place from 4pm through 6pm.

With an NHL-sized ice surface, the Boundary Expo Recreation Centre is home to the Boundary Predators Minor Hockey as well as Old Timer’s hockey and public Stick and Puck. The local high school, Boundary Central Secondary School, uses the arena for their Hockey Academy. There is also a Ladies hockey night open to all skill levels.
“Hockey teams from all over BC and Washington State have discovered the BERC as a convenient place to play a ‘neutral site game,’” the Village notes.
The BERC features a concession stand, updated changing rooms, and fitness room.
