WBCF to Build Disc Golf Course in Midway by Summer

Midway is moving forward with plans to establish a disc golf course in the village.

West Boundary Community Forest is finally going to proceed with construction of the Midway Disc Golf course,” stated local trail builder Ross Elliott on Wednesday.

A tentative course has been mapped and physically marked, he says, with construction beginning in April or May.

Some materials have already been acquired, Elliott said, but other items—such as the disc golf baskets—may not arrive for another six weeks.

West Boundary Community Forest is working alongside Kettle River Concrete to build the course, which weaves through some of the lower trails around the base of Midway Mountain, which sits just south of the Kettle River.

Elliott says his team is still seeking volunteers to assist with the construction phase.

“This will be a great asset to the community and provide exercise and entertainment for all ages,” Elliott said. “Anybody interested in helping out can contact me via [Facebook], phone (250-449-2333), or email (wbcfsecretary@gmail.com).”
