The Kettle River Recreation Area near Rock Creek opens for the 2026 season on April 23, with full operations underway by May 6. The season runs through September 27.
The campground has 114 vehicle-accessible sites arranged in three loops through open Ponderosa pine and bunchgrass forest. Sites 1 to 85 are reservable through BC Parks. Sites 86 to 114 are first-come, first-served. There are 12 double sites located throughout the park.
The summer nightly fee is $43.50 per party (June 15 to Labour Day). Off-season rates drop to $30 per party, with a seniors rate of $15 per night until June 14, 2026, rising to $21.75 from September 8 onward.
Reservations can be made through BC Parks at camping.bcparks.ca. Walk-in campers should select any vacant first-come, first-served site or ask the park host for assistance. Full park details at bcparks.ca/kettle-river-recreation-area.
