Midway Fire Rescue today confirmed a wildland fire between Midway and Curlew, Washington.
A “number of aerial attacks” have been deployed in response to the fire, which is currently approximately 24 acres in size.
“The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and the Village of Midway are monitoring the situation and will provide further information if necessary,” Midway Fire Rescue stated.
