Grand Forks Seeking ‘Key Member’ for Large-Scale Capital Works Projects

Grand Forks is preparing to implement multiple large-scale capital works projects, including a Water Reservoir Improvements project valued at $3.6 million and a Downtown Storm Water project valued at $4.6Million, as well as the continuation of the region’s mitigation program, which has an estimated remaining cost of $10M.

In order to successfully complete these projects and more, the City of Grand Forks is looking to add a “key member” to their leadership team, a recent job posting reveals.

The City is hiring for a Director of Capital Projects on a full-time salary of up to $120,000.

“This is an incredible once in a lifetime opportunity for a motivated individual to the City’s overall capital infrastructure and asset management program while overseeing the final stages of the flood mitigation projects,” Grand Forks states in a job posting online.

Under the immediate direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director position is responsible for overall program management of capital infrastructure projects in the City, according to the posting. Along with the current and proposed projects in the City’s capital plan, the Director of Capital Projects will be responsible for the management of structural and natural works associated with construction of new flood mitigation systems to manage floodwaters in the City.
